The Paint Colors You Should Add To A New Palette

Set Up Colors On a Watercolor PaletteThere are many colors available, and it can be challenging to decide which colors you should add to your palette. Although most people are aware that a rainbow of colors can be created from the three primary colors, most painters do not attempt to create these colors. Instead, they prefer the ease of being able to squeeze the color that they want out of a tube. These colors can be lighter or darker than anything you can create on your own.

The following list of colors is colors of acrylic paints that you can consider adding to your palette. From this basic palette, you should be able to create and mix the colors that you want and need. Add stickers to the side of palette or on the outside of the palette box to keep track of which colors you have used. See below example images and video.

This is due to the fact that it has a very high strength for tinting. A little of Phthalo Blue needs to be mixed with white in order to create lighter shades of blue.

Acrylic Paint: Yellow

It is best to begin your first palette with cadmium yellow medium. You can always choose lighter shades of yellow by adding white to the color. However, if you find that you are mixing these colors together on a regular basis, you should actually consider purchasing a cadmium yellow light.

Always remember that if you want a darker yellow, mix it with purple, not black. Black will turn the yellow into an olive green color instead of a dark yellow.
